Manager, Business Continuity, Crisis & Resilience
Location: Toronto or Oakville, Canada (with remote work options)

At Northly Risk you’ll join a boutique risk consulting practice specializing in resilience, crisis management, business continuity, emergency management, operational risk, and corporate strategy. You will join our small and agile team to help execute a range of risk-related projects for various clients. You may work remotely, or at our Oakville office, which is a five minute walk from the Bronte GO Station. We are also exploring setting up a satellite office in Toronto's financial district. Client meetings are typically held remotely, or downtown Toronto.
As the Manager, Business Continuity, Crisis, & Resilience, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a range of risk-related projects and solutions to address client needs. This includes developing business continuity programs, crisis management programs, incident management programs, crisis simulations, tabletop exercises, program reviews, and risk-related corporate strategy reports. You will lead and oversee client engagements, oversee consultants in developing deliverables, and play an active role in developing high-quality deliverables yourself. Your industry subject matter expertise, leadership skills, communication skills, strong attention to detail and ability to maintain strong client relationships are critical for this role.
The ideal candidate will have a master's degree from an accredited college/university, ideally in a subject that requires strong writing and analysis skills, a business continuity designation (e.g. BCI, DRI) and a minimum of 5 years experience working in an business continuity and/or operational risk-related role. You will also be responsible for leading various project management and stakeholder managements activities, including developing project plans, tracking project status, and coordinating client meetings. Your industry expertise, strong people skills, attention to detail, and ability to develop high-quality written documents will enable you to address client needs.
The ideal candidate will have a master's or bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university, a business continuity designation (e.g. BCI, DRI) and a minimum of 5 years experience working in an business continuity and/or operational risk-related role. Please see details below.

As a Consultant, Crisis & Resilience, you will be responsible for supporting the research, development, and presentation of a wide range of risk-related deliverables and solutions to address client needs, including risk-related reports, presentations, governance documents, crisis and incident management plans, business continuity plans, emergency response plans, exercises, simulations, training, and awareness activities. You will also be responsible for leading various project management and stakeholder managements activities, including developing project plans, tracking project status, coordinating client meetings and tracking action items. Your strong people skills, attention to detail, and ability to develop high-quality written documents will enable you to understand client needs and develop effective solutions to address them.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college/university, ideally in a subject that requires strong writing and analysis skills, and a minimum of 1-3 years experience working in a corporate environment. Please see below for details.
